Bruschetta from Puglia
Today we will tell you about a really simple appetizer, the Apulian bruschetta, crunchy and delicious, typical of our gastronomic tradition and especially appreciated in the summer, during which it sometimes becomes a single dish and is replaced with a full meal.
Not everyone knows but the idea of bruschetta comes from the farmers' need to keep the bread, so as not to waste it. Apulian cuisine has managed to transform this necessity into a real virtue, and bruschetta has become increasingly popular over time, probably also due to the quality of the bread and the flavor of the local extra virgin olive oil. Bruschetta is also prepared in other regions of course, but the Apulian one is another thing altogether… try it to believe it!
